FAQS

Is osteopathy safe?

Yes.

As primary healthcare professionals regulated by law, you can rest assured that patient safety is our first priority. Osteopaths are trained to detect when certain types of treatment may not be appropriate for you, and will be actively looking for such concerns when conducting the case history and physical examination. As treatment is tailored to your individual case, only those techniques appropriate to your situation will be used. If, for any reason, your osteopath believes that no treatment is appropriate, they will explain their reasons for this and give you advice on suitable referral options. Osteopathy being a regulated healthcare profession means that patients can expect the same level of confidentiality, safeguards and rights as they would when visiting their doctor or dentist.
